Lego Indiana Jones Gives New Meaning to Adventure
Lego, the most popular of all buildings, or construction toys has become a favorite worldwide for children and adults alike. The company, based in Billund, Denmark has a history that goes all the way back to the 1920s and 30s. However, the term "Lego pieces" did not exist until 1953. The company with such humble beginnings has become affiliated with the giants of the media franchise of Harry Potter, Batman, Star Wars, and even SpongeBob. However, the adventurer, Indiana Jones, has joined these icons of cinema legend. Nicknamed and known worldwide as Indiana Jones, Dr. Henry Walton Jones, Jr. is a professor of archeology who is well known for its expertise in finding long-lost artifacts and was created by the founder of the Empire Star Wars, George Lucas. Indiana Jones debuted in 1981 in popular theater and box office success, Raiders of the Lost Ark Performed by award-winning actor Harrison Ford The Adventures of Indiana Jones' are shown as in the 1930s. Already known for his success with Star Wars, George Lucas hit another home run with his character of Indiana Jones! Wide ranges of products are available as a result of the Indiana Jones franchise is well promoted and marketed. The popular franchise was introduced to fans of Lego in May 2008, when Cartoon Network premiered the movie, Lego Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Brick. The most recent, and extremely popular, classic Lego Indiana Jones series of toy construction sets and mini-figures have their roots in the top three adventure films and the original video game adventure. These six sets of toys allow youngsters and adults to experience the next adventures of Indiana Jones: the race for the stolen treasure, the Temple of escape fighting in the flying wing, Indiana Jones and the Lost Tomb, Shanghai Chase, and Indiana Jones Motorcycle Chase. Professor Henry Jones, Short Round, Willie, and Satipo Belioq are some of Minifigures on these sets. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the fourth of the IJ movies, is the inspiration for the Kingdom of the Skull series of joint construction toy Lego. These sets are: the Temple of the Crystal Skull Jungle Cutter, River Chase, and rare and endangered in Peru set. Characters of the film presents as minifigs in these collections is Mutt Williams, Marion Ravenwood, Irina Spalco, and the villain Dovchenko Russian colonel and his soldiers.
