Lego Star Wars – Build Your Own Empire
For the Star Wars and / or Lego fans in all of us, Lego brought a new era of enjoyment when it was agreed a license with Lucasfilm, which allows them to produce an exclusive Star Wars Lego toy line. The Lego Star Wars series has been available since 1999 and has been continuously developed. It was introduced to the characters and vehicles from the original Star Wars trilogy (Episodes IV-VI). Since then there have been new sets and press releases that include the trilogy (Episodes I-III) and even the latest Clone Wars animated movie and TV series.
All the pillars of the Star Wars franchise are available in the form of Lego. The characters, mostly, keeping the typical figure of Lego. That means they have a square body with a block-shaped head, with only slight variations, like the colors and accessories such as coats or hats / helmets. However, due to the large difference between the shapes and sizes of many of the Star Wars characters, unique and original molds were created for the line of Lego Star Wars. Darth Vader, for example, has its own recognizable head and head shape, as do the assault troops, Yoda and many other foreigners and characters. Yes, lightsabers are available with some figures as well!
Outside of the characters, Lego Star Wars also produces all recognizable and famous ships and vehicles of the franchise. This includes the ultra-popular Millennium Falcon, which has been adjusted and improved since its original release. Also available, of course, is the X-Wing fighter. Other vehicles and boats are the AT-ST Imperial TIE fighter, a rebel Blcckade Runner (the spacecraft is pursued by the imperial destroyer in the first scene of the original film) and crafts Speeder several. There is also the location is set as the Death Star, the Rebel base of Hoth and more.
In addition to these characters and vehicles, Lego has launched a range of Star Wars products, including several additions to its line technique, which relies on complex parts and movement and are less reminiscent of the classic block look, feel and construction of Lego figures. It was also released a mini series of the figure of the magnet with a dozen Star Wars characters. In addition, Lego Star Wars released several products for its Ultimate Collector Series, which are large and complex designs. The Millennium Falcon for this series, with over 5,000 pieces, was the product of Lego's largest and most complex ever launched to the public.
The single most popular Lego Star Wars product however should be the video game series. These games sold extremely well and achieved critical acclaim in both Star Wars and video game community. The first game is based on the trilogy, and the second set is based on the original trilogy. Subsequently, both were released together in a full addition.
